ABOUT THE ARTIST
My Story
At an early age I took an interest in drawing and creating. As I got a bit older I started to have vivid dreams at night
of what I might create. Upon waking I would feel compelled to make what was in my dream that very day.
I majored in art in high school and in college. I attended FIT in NYC while I worked in the fashion industry as a surface and textile designer for just under a decade.
My gears switched to marriage and raising a family and several other career changes., including real estate and a professional vocalist ( something I am still involved with today).
It wasn't till 4 years ago that I picked up my paint brushes again after over two decades. I found a new inspiration for art and all the things I had missed. I explored many new medias and techniques, some which I never knew existed.
Today I am a mixed media artist. I
paint in mostly acrylics. I will use found items, up-cycled and collected or discarded items in my art.
I am more aware of the world around me than ever before and even more inspired.
My style and subject matter changes often. AND... I am once again inspired by my vivid dreams.
